Android Automatic Screen Rotation and Resolution optimization phone/tablet

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • Hello folks,

Thanks to this community and awesome tutorials, I finally managed to export/import my application to android device successfully <3 ( I am very new with Fusion2.5 & the ios/android exporters >:) )

    I have few questions/settings that i could not find/understand :(
Could you please help me with the questions below ? I really appreciate your help.

1-) How can i optimize my application's screen size and resolution so that it can be viewed properly (fullscreen) on all devices (not device dependent) e.g i want my application to be fullscreen (without any blanks in the corners) when it is downloaded from any android device. Is this something possible or i have to optimize my screen size by considering the device type and OS level (I hope the question is clear)

I made an app with 640X480 and imported it to a Samsung Duos with OS level 4.0.X (i dont remember the resoul. of the phone) and there are blanks in the corners (up and down)

2-) Second one is ; i don't see any configuration to set automatic rotation on android (i dont know if i use the correct term : the thing when you turn your phone 90 degrees , app turns automaticly ) Do i set this option in application (android) settings , or with an object comes with android exporter ? Any idea ?

    thanks in advance

    Best Regards.
    Alper

  • Yeah it is good fun playing around with the exporters ;)

In the properties for your application under the Android Options Icon there are display options. Screen orientation allows you to force landscape, portrait or automatic and Display offers a range of options for how the app is displayed on the screen.

Also the Android object has actions to force landscape or portrait.
