Thank you all. I'm now a new "Clicker" because of you :)

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • Hi guys

Thank you so much for all what you did to answer my questions. Now I know that CT Fusion has the power to do what I need in my games / apps.

Knowing how much powerful Fusion is, and seeing how much friendly and supportive the community here is, I couldn't hold it anymore...

Please welcome me as a new "Clicker" among you :). Yes, I've just bought my copy of CT Fusion 2.5 plus iOS, Android and HTML5 exporters (downloading them right now), and I couldn't be more happy to do so.

I spent enough time studying CT Fusion and some of its most known competitors (Construct 2, Gamesalad), even Unity3D and Corona SDK, but I found that CT Fusion is something you cannot turn your back on to it.

Although it has some weakness (like any other SW), and some competitors has some advantages not found in Fusion, but all in all, Fusion won my heart. It has the most powerful engine, editors, exporter, support for the level of games/apps it meant to create.

Of course there are so many other engines that can do more powerful games (depends on what you need), but then you definitely need to be living in the "coders" planet. Fusion can do so powerful games just by pointing and clicking, but still, if you feel that you must do coding, then why not having both, CT Fusion, and the other engine you like to code with? (as I might be doing in the future).

So now please, if you know any additional packs, add-ons, extensions, shaders, third party software that i should us to empower my game/app creation with Fusion, please let me know.

I hope you will see me post my projects here soon, and contribute more in the community to get and share the good things.

    See you soon :)

(Please excuse my weak English grammar, since I'm not an English speaker :) )

  • Thank you Nyc & piscesdreams.

Strange thing happened to me though. Although I've bought iOS exporter for Fusion 2.5, what I got is iOS exporter for Fusion 2 :( , and it is not installing for my 2.5.

I emailed the support and waiting for their reply.

  • Yea, I feel pretty confident that Clickteam Fusion is the most simplest software to use to make a game. Though I've used software like Game Maker, I tried Construct one point in my life. I'm aware of Stencyl, but never really got into it. There's also stuff like JumpCraft, and I'm sure Flash could make games via Actionscript. I also tried fighting game engines like Fighter Maker, and spent some years doing MUGEN stuff. Though I feel that Clickteam Fusion has something special. Sure it can't make 3D model type games, but it can do other neat stuff. Though you can make Fake 3D effects in CT Fusion, though not as good as the real thing.

I never heard of Gamesalad. Though It seems like all the other game making software are similar to one another. But at the end, for whatever reason, I always favored Clickteam's software. So, welcome aboard, newcomer! :)

Joshtek, really I'm thankful to you for the links you've posted. I normally got lost easily in the tons of links here and there, so your reply saved me a time.
But frankly the "Internet Resources" must be deleted. Many of them already obsolete, and the remaining are very very old pages with lousy graphics. Totally useless for me.

Really guys you are the best out there, I feel totally supported and surrounded by tons of good people.

Best regards to all of you.

  • Guys, how do you know which extension is compatible with Fusion 2.5 and which is not?

Because I see in the forum many extensions has been posted during 2007 and 2008. Are they compatible with Fusion 2.5?

And for those extensions got from outside Ex. Manager (i.e ExtensionView), how can I know if they are in the latest version or not?

I'm afraid of installing an older extension over a newer one that I have then it may corrupt it.

The extensions are enormous to keep track of, and to knowing and remembering each one of them seems very difficult.

Lastly, do you guys download every extension that is out there just to be ready for any need in the future and to run any example project? I'm thinking to do so.

    Thanks

  • Hey mate, i used to download every extension, but now not so much as i find you never actually use them unless its for a specific purpose. Its great to know what extensions are available, and what they do, but the extensions that come with Fusion are going to be 90+% of extensions you'll ever use.
The ones from pre-Fusion 2.5, you can't really know if they're the latest version or not, just like you can't really know if they'll work in CF2.5 or not (but you can still try!).
The ones in the extension manager you know they'll work. I used to download and collect every extension, now not so much.
I find as I'm starting to look more and more into mobile development, you can't rely on extensions that aren't multi-platform.

If i was you, I'd just download them off Extension Manager, you'll find that you wont need to really use any of them (well not yet atleast). If you run into something that you can't find a way to do in Fusion, then search these forums/consult the extension lists and see if there's something relevant that might be the answer.

  • Welcome aboard, Click_n_Create.

Been using Clickteam tools since Klik'n Play was released.
The staff is very friendly and open for conversation.
The community is excellent and helpful.
And that's what tells CT apart from the competition IMO.

    Best regards,

    Andre Guerreiro Neto

  • Personally I think that one of the best thing with Fusion is ... its community of users. Nice, helpful and friendly. Look at this thread for example.
    You guys are great!
