Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • Okay I am building an app kinda like the impossible game (minus the spikes, and faster) Now I have most of the menus, and settings set up correctly. Once I uploaded the apk to my phone... everything worked! jk other wise I woudln't be posting this.

Now the idea was the longer you touch the screen the high the player will jump. It works on the PC. But not on Android. I have tried like 7 things to get this to work. Any and all help would be amazing!! Another issue I am having is the hi-score board wont reset. I created a Reset button and stuff but it will show reset until you reload that page. If I am going to upload the MFA to my Google drive and i'll make it a public download.

If any one could help me figure this out I would be sooo happy lol.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, and thanks for any help given! :)

    again ty for any help!

  • My Kindle isn't charged, so I am unable to compile and sideload the game to test. However, I took a look at your events and had some ideas.

I noticed that you are using the Spacebar to add to the jump height. It makes sense that this would work in Windows since your fire 1 (jump) button is also Spacebar. You might try changing that event to "Repeat while Player 1 Pressed fire 1" and see if that helps.

Resetting the scoreboard seems to work in Windows, so I have no ideas there.

  • Okay, I had a chance to take a look.

    For the platform jumping issue-
Change your event calling for the Space Bar key being pressed to this - it will work whether testing on PC or your Android devices. However, I see no need for a jump button, this way you can simply tap anywhere on the screen, giving the player freedom of view and whether they are right/left handed. But, if you do want a jump button, this will easily work for you by inserting it into the frame options.

    For the high-score issue-
You're right, the reset has some weird tendency to feign resetting but it truely doesn't.
You'll need to manually reset each lines Name AND Score 1 by 1.

I can confirm it worked for me on my Nexus 7.

Some things I would recommend to enhance performance for better compatibility across more devices:
    --Enable color reduction
--Convert your .wav files into .ogg
--The music didn't play on my device when trying to load it externally. Maybe just play it within the game itself since it is only one item.
--When playing your music, loop it infinitely, otherwise if you have an incredibly talented player, the music will eventually cease on it's own. You already have an event to stop it when needed and you have it unticked so samples do not play over frames anyway.
--Does your game need the anti-aliasing on the actives? Unless you are changing from blocks to something else with more geometry, I think the anti-aliasing may be a waste of CPU and lower end devices may have some chug with this.

    Hopefully this helps!
