Surface Object - Tiled external image?

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • Hi, I've been trying to figure this out on my own for about an hour, but can't get it working right... What I need is to have the Surface Object display an externally loaded image tiled over the surface. Has anyone done this and would be willing to help me out with it?

  • I'm pretty new with both Fusion & the surface extension and I'm not entirely sure how to do what you're asking, but would it be possible to tile the surface objects themselves using duplicate rather than tiling the actually image within the object?

  • Yes this would be possible, but the application I'm developing has a scroll distance based on user input, so this could potentially mean thousands upon thousands of surface objects (based on the size of the repeating tiles the user has created/is using for their backdrop). I'd like to keep it to just one (albeit possibly very very large) object, instead of taking up memory with potentially thousands of copies.

  • Sorry to bump... but does anyone know how to get external images to tile in the Surface object?

Edit: Just had an epiphany and figured out what I was doing wrong!!
Here's my events, in case anyone else needs to do this in their own game/application (click the thumbnail):

Just make sure you have "Use multiple images" enabled, and you should be good to go :)
