HTML5 Video Object autoplay and sprite mode

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • Hi :)

    I've problems with this object...

    1) Autoplay don't work on IOS (instead of win desktop with IE)

    2) On IOS, Play is possible only if I use a button (click event) but not an active object (click event don't work). In win desktop with IE all works fine.

    3) Sprite mode in IOS will start only audio, video is not dislpayed.

    4) I tryed to start play with a "start of frame" action "play" but in IOS don't work :)

All tests made with my ipad :)

    Always sorry for my Italy-made-english

    Luciano

  • I don't have an IOS device but I have run in to some issues like this with the video. Try setting an event that starts the play then call that even on the Start of Frame line. If you have CF 2.5 you can use the timer events. This would give the player time to load if that is the issue. Just a thought. Good luck!

  • Hi Kimera! :)

I also tryed this but don't work too. It seems only a button can start playing in IOS, (may be for the "first touch" limitation?)

  • Sorry it did not work Serrasoft! Darn OS limitations just tick me off sometimes. Everyone has to have their own way of doing things I guess. ;)

You could put up some type of box they have to close which also plays the music... Just a thought, not a good one probably, but a thought.

I tried the link in the thread on IE 11, windows 7. Nothing happens on the page. I went to the link in the thread 4 different times and just get the default html screen with a white box in it.
