Sub Application Scrolling Problem?

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • Hi, So I have a sub application connected to a frame which looks like this: Please login to see this link.
And when I play my game on the computer it works perfectly as seen here: Please login to see this link.
But this game is made for IOS so when I go to test it on my IOS the buttons on the sub application doesn't follow but the background does as seen here: Please login to see this link.
    I don't know what I did wrong???
I hope someone else will know what's happening.
    Thanks in Advance! :)

  • Maybe there is a bug in the sub application extension for the iOS runtime. I tried to build a similar app with Android to test since I don't have the iOS exporter. It worked just fine on Android.

  • I tried doing that. I have been trying to find a fix for such a long time! D:

  • modal option is in the sub-application object properties.. from memory it is greyed out by default, you need to select something else in the objects properties before this option is enabled... just have a look and you'll find it faster than you could post here.

  • If your talking about the scrolling options saying follow the frame then I tried that.
Agh D: why is making a pause menu so hard.

  • I don't think you need sub-app for this, why don't use layers for Pause menu?

  • Create a new layer on top of the others and put all sub application elements into the layer. Then hide it by default. Put all menu code into a group and disable it. When you need the menu simply enable your group and show the layer.

  • If you need a pause you can also use groups. Put all your game code into a single top most group and disable it when needed. Unless you use build in movements you should not run into any troubles.

  • I have quite a few build in movements and when I tried this I did run into some trouble with them. :/ any other suggestions? I really need help with this and have been trying to make this for 3 days now. -_-

  • So do you know any other working way to make a pause menu button like the one I am trying to make shown in the video and image I attached to the first post here?

  • I think having a "Pause" action would be very useful here. We have a "Pause and resume with key" why couldn't we have a "Pause" and "Resume" action?
