[CRASH] Crash upon exiting and returning to my app

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • When running my game, if I press home and then return to the app (via the multi-task button or by tapping on the app's icon again), it force closes immediately. "End application when not in foreground" is not checked, and I can't figure out why it's crashing!

Here's a portion of my log from the crash, if anyone can help me make sense of the problem (and if you need the full log for more information please let me know):

  • This is happening on all of my Android devices (listed in my signature), on Android 2.3.6, 4.0.4, 4.4.2, and 5.0.

I have a feeling it has something to do with one of my extensions, and not with Fusion itself? I'll experiment some and report back.

Here's another Log I captured with my 2.3.6 device (Samsung Epic 4G):

  • Hi,

i will post tonight or tomorrow morning a nightly build for testing.

    ******************************************

just to inform you that cocoblock only one i tested is working in gtablet, nexus 7 and samsung note 3 neo

could it be that is opengl 1.1 and the andyroid is only opengl2.0?

  • Okay! I've narrowed it down to the In-App Android extension. I've done a bunch of tests and have come to the these conclusions:

If an In-App Android extension exists in your app, and you exit your app (by pressing home or switching to another app) then return to your app, it will force close.

Workaround: If I create the In-App Android extension only when I'm actively using it, and destroy it afterwards, this doesn't happen. But if the user exits the app when it is being used, the same force-close issue occurs.

Note: I was using 282.3, but also tested 283.5 and the latest beta Android build (284b 201402412), but both builds force-closed immediately (There is another thread about this issue Please login to see this link.)

I'd be happy to send an apk and/or mfa for each Build version if requested via PM.

This was all tested on these three devices: Nexus 7 2013 [Android 5.0], Galaxy Note 2 [Android 4.4.2], Galaxy S Epic 4G [Android 2.3.6]
