Help with screen scrolling in event editor

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • where do you think the camera can scroll to if the frame size is the same as the window size? your frame needs to be bigger than your window/application size to make use of the built in scrolling functionality.

  • Imagine that the frame size is the "world size" and the window (also thought of as a camera) always shows a subsection of the overall world. In order to create/produce a scrolling effect, you must have your world size bigger than your camera. If the camera and world are the same size, then the where else could the camera go? However if the world is bigger than the camera, you can change the position of the camera within the overall world.

    Summary

To have scrolling, ensure the window size is smaller than the frame size. Once the window size is smaller, you can specify the actual position of the camera via the event editor.
