Waiting Time when Saving Frame

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

  • Hi All.

    So, my friend has been experimenting with the "Save Frame" and "Load Frame" tools.

    Every time he presses a button, it will move to a frame, and save the exact location of every object on the frame.

    After then pressing a button on that page, it will then load the previous frame.

    But whenever the frame is saved, the game experiences a certain amount of waiting time.

    I assume this is something to do with the amount of objects that are on screen?

    Is there a way to fix this / reduce the items on the screen until they are needed so they will not cause such a long waiting time?

  • Yeah, it's probably due to the amount of objects on the screen.
    It might be a pain but I would recommend a small "Splash / Loading" screen so the user has something to look at other than the computer lagging a bit.

    Just have a big active that's the size of the screen be visible or created (ex. black rectangle w/ "LOADING" or whatever in the middle) right before you load the next frame. That way the player should see the loading screen until the next frame is fully loaded up.

    At least that's how I understand it to work.
