Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

  • morning,

    i have been working a wile with MMF only i have some serval problems. I'm making a sort of mario game and i have some issues with it.

    1 - making enemies where i can jump on so they can die
    2 - the movement of enemies on the platform
    3 - enemies that can't die, so if you hit them, the player will bounce
    4 - box objects; if i jump to a ? box the player hangs in the sky
    5 - if i jump on the ? box the animation is played and the coin is there also, the only way it has to be activated is from the bottum of the box object
    6 - objects out of the ? box, so as power ups with the movement, star power and if you hit the ? there has to be a coin that disapeared.
    7 - hidden ? boxes, when jou jump to it , it appears
    8 - platform movers so there will be a moving platfrom, from side A to B
    9 - when i'm out of the platform, there must be a sound playing when you die, i couldn't fixed that eather

    I hope that you can help me out, so that i can work on my project again, thanks in advance

  • It sounds like what you're needing is experience. These are some of the things you learn as you make lots of small projects. It's best to make a few small projects before starting bigger ones. It's also better if you try and tackle each problem one at a time, eg, how to jump on enemies.

    There are easy and hard ways to do all of the things you mentioned. Enemy movement, for example, can be easily pre-programmed with paths. You can also program them to walk backwards and forwards by making them turn around when they hit an object. Many of these techniques are covered in the beginner tutorials I mentioned.

    If you google some of those individual problems you're having, or look at youtube tutorials on how to make a platformer, you will find your own answers. Look for things like "jumping with platformers" or "collisions with platformers", etc. Hope this helps.

  • Hey Remdwaas,

    For option 8, the easiest way to have a moving platform is to use the built in "Path" movement. Create an "Active" object and edit it to be your moving platform. Then, in that "Active" objects properties, select the Person looking symbol. Click on Path and create a simple path that the moving platform will follow. After you create your linear path, you can also reverse and loop the movement so it goes back and forth endlessly! Hope this helps!

  • Option 9:

    In the event editor, hopefully you have an event that initiates your characters death. On that event, you need to choose a sound file that you want to represent the dead. For Example:


    Mario collides with Goomba: Play Sample Lose

    Can my treath be moved to fusion 2.5?
    i have made my project again but now i using the fusion 2.5 free version.

    - How do i stop de bouncing and glitsing in my project? if i hit the questionmark box my player hangs in the sky.
    - How do i get one item out of a box, because now everytime i hit the itembox it wil give the same item over and over again.
    - my enemies and scrolling platforms are moving to fast, i had already changed the speed in the path direction, but it didn't helped
    - i want to jump on a enemy and then it has to disapeer, do i have to use the overlapping? because now i'm using collisions and if it hits the enemy the player will be death and the frame is starting over again.
    - The coin out of the item box has to be going to the sky, now its falling to the ground.

    I'm really trying to understand how things work, but i need a little help with it X)

    I hope somebody can help me out

    The most important things for me now is that everything in the game is smooth and that my player is not hanging in the sky and the enemies.

  • Wat did i fixed?
    - enemies speed
    - platformer speed

    what to fix:
    - player hangs in the sky on objects
    - jumping on enemies that wil destroy them
    - when a enemy bounced at me, it wil cost me one live and then i have to start over
    - when i hit the key_box only one time there has to be a item and not many times more
    - coins count at the end of a level or that it wil count with the amount collected in level 1
    - the coin out of the question box has to go up
