Turning and Image into text

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

    For a project I am working on, I need to be able to extract text from an image. So if I were to take a picture of a book and pass it through the program, the program would detect the text and create a text file with it.

    Is this possible in Fusion? If not by Fusion extensions could I possibly have Fusion pass the image into another program to do this?

    I believe this question has been asked before. I don't think there is an OCR object for fusion. There is however an open source OCR library called tesseract. So it is possible to create an extension to achieve image to text.
