Build 284.1 - beta version

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • Hello,

The build 284.1 (beta) is available in the Download Links post in the "Support Forums / Product Owner's Lounge / Fusion 2.5" forum.

The CF 2.5 patch updates all the installed exporters, you do not need to reinstall them. The individual installers for the exporters are not provided for this build, maybe later.

Please login to see this link.

    Important points

    - The new exporters are not compatible with the build 283. If you use the iOS exporter, after installing this build (or reinstalling the build 283) you must rebuild entirely your iOS projects previously built with the build 283, and not only the iOS CCI file, as the old iOS source files can't load the new CCI files created with the build 284. If you use external sub-applications, you have to rebuild the CCN files. If you develop extensions for Html5, Android, iOS, XNA you have to update the source code of the CF runtime in your projects if you use this version.

    - The Apply Impulse function has been modified to take the mass into account and behave the same way on all platforms. If you use this function you'll have to change the coefficient. Sorry for any inconvenience, we had no choice.

    - The runtimes have been optimized, but this doesn't mean you'll see a visible effect in your applications, as that depends on the functions you use and the ones that have been optimized on the platform you run your app onto.

    - This new build contains the limited version of the HTML5 explorer, if you haven't the full version of the HTML5 exporter already. This limited version has the same limitations as the ones of the free version of CF 2.5 (3 frames, 100 backdrop objects, 30 non-backdrop objects, 150 events, no global events nor behaviors).

    - This beta version is not available on Steam yet, it will be available when is version is considered as stable enough.

    - And ... it's a beta version, make backup copies of your MFA files before loading them with this version.

If any major issue you can reinstall the build 283.5 (no need to uninstall first, just reinstall the patch of the build 283.5).

Let us know if any new problem, thanks!

    Yves.

    Android runtime
    - more optimizations
    - Chartboost updated to latest library
    - corrected sound issue after return from pause/ads
    - corrected gap between Motif Quickbackdrop objects of certain sizes
    - List object: if the "hide at start" option is selected, the control is not created until you show it. This allow you to use this object as simple internal list without any display handling.

Could this be implemented in the Windows runtime as well, if it hasn't been already? Maybe other runtimes, too? Sounds like it could be really useful...

My Please login to see this link. (which I actually use), my Please login to see this link. (which I mostly don't use), and my Please login to see this link. (which I don't use anymore pretty much at all really). If there are awards for "'highest number of long forum posts", then I'd have probably won at least 1 by now. XD

  • Thanks for the minor update Yves!

Just something I have noticed that's isn't mentioned: Any sub-application saved externally as a .ccn will need to be re-built in order to run from a build 254.x EXE application, otherwise the sub-app doesn't run. I guess that makes sense. :)

  • Not sure if this has been mentioned:

For some reason my Edit Object is displaying as white text on black background in Android. In 283.5 is displays correctly (as I intended) as white on green.

I do not have "System Colors" checked.

Other than that there is noticeable speed up of my game, very good.

  • Fernando,

That has fixed the issue but has caused another one. Now there is a gradient in the Edit Box that gives it a look of depth which I do not want. I can live with this, but my entire design is flat and it is highly noticeable. At least it's white on green again.
