Normal for Lacewing to fail to re-connect after connection loss?

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • Hi. I've noticed something strange with the Lacewing Relay Client when a connection is established, but is disconnected later - either by the server being closed or because the connection was unexpectedly lost.

What happens is that the Windows program will not be able to re-connect to the same server without first closing the program and re-opening it.

Is this a bug, or normal behaviour?

  • This bug was fixed by Lacewing Blue, but it was a confirmed problem. From memory, the UDP socket wasn't cleaned up properly, leaving the client unable to reconnect. Possibly, Destroy/Create might fix for Relay, but Blue has it fixed anyway.
