Smooth Resizing Causing Coloured outlines and strange borders

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • Any update to this? I've noticed this issue before and ignored it by not using smooth resizing, now for my new game, smooth resizing is vital otherwise the edges just look bad on some Android devices. I don't particularly want to overlap active objects just to remove gaps in-between actives that are next to each other - this bug has become a huge pain.

    EDIT:
I've now attached 2 photos showing the same MFA, one with smooth resizing and one without.

Smooth resizing turned on causes the single pixel background to be stretched incorrectly and there is a horizontal line gap in the middle of the hexagons. Both foreground objects have alpha channels. On iOS, none of this happens.

This is not the problem that was fixed in the build 285.

You should find another way to change the background color because I'm not sure we can change the way the object is displayed in "smooth resizing" mode. There is the same issue in HTML5. Maybe use an Active System Box object that covers the entire background and change its fill color at runtime?

The gap is another issue, not fixed yet. I can't reproduce it on my machine, what's the resolution of your device?

  • Ah, that was the outline on non-alpha objects issue wasn't it?

Yeah I've found some workarounds, the pixel I've just made 2x2 and scaled it up way past the screens resolution, and the hexagons, I've just made it a single active with another active on-top for the green layer.

I knew workarounds would get me past this, I think I just wanted to have a moan because it was annoying me last night haha. I just worry it might catch me out in the future...

My device is 1440x2560. So perhaps the height of the application (whatever it might be once the frame has been adjusted) doesn't divide nicely with 2560 causing an in between pixel to show.

    EDIT:
Hmm no, it still shows even if the app runs at 720x1280 and also happens on an Xperia (1080x1920).

Yes and no, alpha objects had the same issue in some cases.

Yes it's something like that. But I've another application that shows the problem anyway.
