Can Flash games be played on mobile devices?

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • I've seen some people asking about how they can download Flash, on their tablets to play Flash games. Can Flash games actually be played on mobile devices?

If they can, then does that mean we need to include touch controls in Flash games, or should they just be made for desktops, using keyboard controls?

  • On most modern devices it isn't possible. The only tablet I know that has a Flash player is the Blackberry Playbook. My old Nokia phone has a Flash Lite player too but it runs on Symbian not iOS or Android like most phones and tablets nowadays.

Flash is only for desktop computers and it's a dying market...

  • Well, I think that HTML5 is spreading (as in, it's being used more), and I think that Flash is veeeeeeeeeeeery slowly being used a bit less often, so I think it's safe to say that in a few years (whether that ends up being 2 years or 20 years is another question entirely), HTML5 may very well overtake Flash as the most popular way to make browser-based games...

My Please login to see this link. (which I actually use), my Please login to see this link. (which I mostly don't use), and my Please login to see this link. (which I don't use anymore pretty much at all really). If there are awards for "'highest number of long forum posts", then I'd have probably won at least 1 by now. XD
