[Lacewing] Sending X + Y of other actives to peers.

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • It's kind of hard to explain. Anyways I am making some zombie game that is multiplayer. I have the sending cords to peer too peer and all that going good. But there is one thing that stumbled across. I need to figure out how to make the zombies go in the same directions + cords of the peer in the match. I hope you understand XP but if you know what to do please let me know :) And if you want some more detail about this, please let me know!

  • Instead of sending enemy info back and forth between your peers I think that the server should store that kind of information. This means that the server would have the definitive version of the session and the peers would then send their actions to the server which distributes the information to everyone else. This basically means that your server would sort of be "playing the game" too.

I made a quick example with a bouncing ball object as the enemy moving around. Build these two .mfa files, start up the server and then start a few clients (approx. 2-3) and they should all be getting the same enemy movement from the server.
