Object using Physics Bouncing Ball/Static movement, getting caught on platforms

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • I seem to be running into issues with the Physics Bouncing Ball and Physics Static movements. All I want is a circular object to roll down platforms, using physics. It does this, apart from the object gets caught on the edges of smooth surfaces. Sometimes it gets caught on edges and slowly edges down, other times it rolls on the spot, as if it's trying to roll on ice. I have the friction setup, so that it doesen't behave like it's on ice, but nothing I do stops the object randomly getting caught, or behaving like it's on ice.

Has anyone encountered this issue before? It's really bothering me, for such a simple thing.

    Thanks.

  • I am struggling with the same issue - any help would be very much appreciated :)

I think I may have FINALLY found out the problem. I had deceleration set to 0. I decided to change it to 5 just to see what would happen. The rolling ball is now rolling properly and not getting caught/stuck on the platforms. I've tested it about 20 times to make sure it's working and it looks like that's the answer. If your deceleration is set to 0, try setting it to 5 or 10 and see if it works.

EDIT: Forget that, it's not working now. I honestly don't know how to fix this at all. I've tried all the possible options and nothing works : /
