[Beta] Voice Recognition Extension

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • Hi guys,

I have recently gotten back into extension development, and I have a new one for you to test that allows you to use voice recognition.
You can find the latest version attached to this post. Remember that this is in beta, so don't use it in any serious projects yet. :)

    Latest Version: DEAD

    Cheers!

  • AND SUDDENLY, OUT OF COMPLETELY NOWHERE, POTENTIALLY AWESOME EXTENSION! XD

...though like everyone else I'm having issues with it not initializing the library properly... maybe it's not included and it needs to be?

Also, why is the extension internally called "text to speech"? Kinda an odd name for a voice recognition object, even if it is only the file name...

My Please login to see this link. (which I actually use), my Please login to see this link. (which I mostly don't use), and my Please login to see this link. (which I don't use anymore pretty much at all really). If there are awards for "'highest number of long forum posts", then I'd have probably won at least 1 by now. XD

  • Same error with the fix. :( When i copy the TextToSpeechDll.dll to the Fusion directory an run the bat file. i get the error "TextToSpeechDll.dll not found".
If i copy the DLL to the .Net directory where the regasm.exe is stored, the file will be registered but then i get the same "not initialized" error in Fusion.

  • same error. :/

TextToSpeech.Dll refers to the following Dll's, which do not exist on my computer:
    API-MS-WIN-CORE-SHUTDOWN-L1-1-1.DLL
    EXT-MS-WIN-NTUSER-UICONTEXT-EXT-L1-1-0.DLL

For this files the TextToSpeech.Dll probably searches in different directories than the files are stored on my computer:
    API-MS-WIN-CORE-KERNEL32-PRIVATE-L1-1-1.DLL
    API-MS-WIN-CORE-PRIVATEPROFILE-L1-1-1.DLL
    API-MS-WIN-SERVICE-PRIVATE-L1-1-1.DLL
    IESHIMS.DLL

This are the errors in Dependency Walker, when TextToSpeech.Dll is opened:

Error: Modules with different CPU types were found. (the module TEXTTOSPEECH.DLL is shown as X86, all other modules are red marked as x64.)
Warning: At least one delay-load dependency module was not found.
Warning: At least one module has an unresolved import due to a missing export function in a delay-load dependent module.

  • It's possible the EXE example hasn't been compiled with the latest version of the object, since, while that returns an error like before, the MFA file example ALMOST works, like other people have said. It doesn't return the error, but it never seem to start listening after pressing the button (whether that's an issue with the object knowing that it's started listening or an issue with the action to start listening in the first place, or another issue entirely, is a bit hard to tell, though).

Don't give up, Stephen! You seem to be getting close to a working object, and since this could be an awesome object to have, I think it's worth the effort of finishing it.
