What causes a bad object?

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • I had some objects in my game replaced with bad objects, that was pretty scary, i had to remove them all to get the game working again.
so, my question is, how does it happen? is it anything specific? or is it random?

edit: i saved my game when i removed the bad objects, and guess what, it crashes.

  • So you're saying removing the objects didn't help, so they weren't the problem?

I am not sure what you mean by "bad objects" I think specifics may help us help you.

In any case, I have crashed the software some times, but usually that is because I run loops within' loops, by misstake. So, bad code..

  • This has been dealt in the forum before,
so searching could probably pop out some relevant info,
though a 100% complete answer on every possible cause don't probably exist

Swiff: if you never encountered a bad object you're likely coding in the right way (and maybe you're also a bit lucky XD)
