How do I remove permission: Modify or delete the contents of your SD card?

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • I'm not sure if this is a bug in the latest beta, or if I did something wrong. I made a new build of my app which now shows another permission line added to it before installation:

Install this application? It will have access to:
(Under Privacy) "modify or delete the contents of your SD card; read the contents of your SD card"

The only permission I have checked off is BILLING, which is also listed but should be there.

  • I've tried recreating the problem with a blank app. "Modify or delete the contents of your SD card; read the contents of your SD card," comes up after adding the Chartboost object.

I'm using the version you've posted here: Please login to see this link.

  • yeah permissions change sometimes, which is annoying for updates.. like the wake_lock which was also added by something, i can remove it manually tho (but requires a lot of work).

  • The permission changes according the needs of objects, so in the case of chartboost, they decide to go with google play services and use the devices for caching ads like admob does. if anyone is using chartboost around (pure coding or another runtime) have to implements theses permissions.

and we still need to do the next step; go to api 23 with target 23 where permission have a different way of handling and now android define a list of dangerous permissions, that user need to approve even they are in the manifest.

wake_lock is required by Google play games. I forgot to mention.
