How To Sell HMTL5 Applications

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • I would guess you would have to crate a site where people could have a membership then they could pay for whatever game they wanted to play. That is just off the top of my head.

  • It seems what you asking is already sort of a broken concept, imo. You can't sell your game as a product because it relies on the web, web hosting, etc. You would need to sell it as a service. So the membership idea is probably the only way to go, but also won't gain much traction unless you have a lot of content to attract players.

  • Thanks mobican. That seems to be true. I already have my company set up to sell exe and swf files digitally to teachers, so it would not work to place them online. I thought I could use the HTML5 versions as examples or free test runs for teachers to see online, but I can do that with the Flash versions as well. So, the end result is, I see no reason to use HTML5 at all.

  • Because all the browsers will stop supporting Flash soon, and HTML5 is the only supported alternative
