Huge fps drop while playing sounds

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • Any solutions to this? I don't want to start a new thread but i have the same problem - the game runs fine without sound, with sound the framerate drops significantly (there's only one sound, it's a background song, it plays once when the frame starts with particular global values)

  • It is important to know what type of sounds you are playing, how you are playing them and some information from them too, like duration, and internal specs, so the best move is to make a bug report with a small mfa if the sound are proprietary make the bug report private

  • Has this issue ever been fully resolved as far as an update or what specific file format to use or other technique? I've tried making the game with different file formats including mono .ogg's and there's always at least a little framerate dip or hiccups with the sound playing. If there is no sound playing the game runs totally fine. I've also tested the game removing larger graphics, certain events and that never really changed the framerate, it's always only been affected by the sound. If there could be a full instruction of what to do with sound (specific file format, bitrate, what to do with play from disk, etc.) that'd be great, thanks!
