High Score Manipulation in Android

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • Hi,

Using the hi-score object in my app, when players get a high score a box pops up asking for their name. However, if they tap anywhere but the text box to enter their name, it automatically closes out the box and they are no longer able to enter their name. It just comes up blank. Is there any way to manipulate the object so that the box doesn't go away until they've entered their name? I've been searching around but can't seem to find something within Fusion that stops such a thing from happening on my own.

Any ideas? Or would I have to do something custom?

    I appreciate any help!

  • I'm sure you can set the player name using a editbox if you don't mind making more work for yourself as you'd really need to create your own dialog of sorts on a higher layer, you could even make it that it remembers the previous name so the ugly editbox is hidden unless needed and just have a small button or text that the player could click to show the editbox again.

I done something like this but it was for an online leaderboard and not a local board.

Also check out my site, it's a work in progress.
