Platforms Movement Object (PMO) jump through platform problem

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • Hi! Platform Movement Object is a great tool for quick player setup for a platfrom game which I really like. But sadly, it has quite a problem with jump through platforms. If I have 2 such platforms positioned verticaly one above another my player simply cannot collide with the one below. I guess PMO cannot detect collision with platforms from below if player overlaps them. I know there have already been people with the same issue, however, there still is no real solution to the problem. So is there any way how to fix this? Or the only solution for this case is to use custom movement system?

  • When I'll done with translations and learn extension development, I'll probably reimplement PMO (actually rewrite from scratch) since it starts to piss me off as well. Will do it so it can be selected as movement and be as easy to use as default platform movement but without its issues.

//edit: If possible I'll also make it hotspot-independent so you don't have to deal with this thing either.

There are no impossible things, there is only lack of skill needed to complete the task.

  • Thanks for your replies, guys! But unfortunately, nothing helps, it's just how PMO works. It is still very useful for most cases but I'd rather make a custom movement system instead. Darkhog, your idea is great, wish you luck with that!
