Nintendo NX / Switch exporter?

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • No official plans as yet. But I'll do some more research into it closer to the release date and keep a close eye on distribution numbers etc. It was exciting to see the unveil and hopefully I can get some early access to developer features if they plan an indie route.

  • Thanks Danny. I am hopeful Nintendo will finally make an indie friendly ecosystem. But the eshop was such a mess up until now that unless it gets a redesign it won't be easy for players or developers alike. Since unity was listed I was hopeful they were courting possible tool developers other than the obvious ones.

  • I'm expecting they will make Nintendo Switch exporter, and all the other major exporters as well. They've my money! :P

  • Not to mention Fusion 3's capability to generate C++ code would be make it more feasible to make it playable on future consoles :)

  • I'm a computer gaming snob. The last console I owned was in 1984. :D

But this Switch thing looks cool! I think I might get one! :) And needless to say, I'd be interested in an exporter too.

Based that one of their partners seems to be Unity, I think they most definitely plan an indie route. Would love if it'd be "every unit is a devkit" deal, then again, this is Nintendo we're talking about...

There are no impossible things, there is only lack of skill needed to complete the task.

  • Hopefully Nintendo allows clickteam to make an exporter, things fell through with gamemaker so now they'll never have Switch,Wii U or 3ds exporters, which is kind of a deal breaker for me.Nintendo exporters is something fusion 3 can have over gamemaker and bring some of their users over.

  • In theory it should. Just look at UWP Exporter which is based from HTML5.

  • We have a Third party tool agreement in place with Nintendo, I am awaiting for one of our programmers to report some free time to evaluate the Switch code base's viability for a exporter for either 2.5 or 3.

  • Cool news, Kisguri!

Can't wait to see where this may go... :)

My Please login to see this link. (which I actually use), my Please login to see this link. (which I mostly don't use), and my Please login to see this link. (which I don't use anymore pretty much at all really). If there are awards for "'highest number of long forum posts", then I'd have probably won at least 1 by now. XD

  • That'd be neat! I hope for both 2.5 and 3, although I understand if you want to continue on with 3 alone. Not sure if I can continue development on 3 with my project from 2.5.

    Looking forward to hear more.
