I would like to show my interest in a Switch exporter too, count me in.

Nintendo NX / Switch exporter?
Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.
A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.
Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

I would support this for F3 for sure. For F2.5 I´m only in if the performance is equal to the Win .exe runtime and if at least basic shaders are supported.

+1 for Fusion3. But based on the indie handler at Nintendo, it sounds like they are only courting games of the highest caliber at first. They don't want quantity, only quality. So I don't see it being the free for all paradise that Greenlight is. Maybe that attitude will change as the system matures.
-
If they cared about quality over quantity, then this game wouldn't have seen the light of day on the Switch: Please login to see this link.
Seriously, this game has a MetaCritic score that rivals Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing. It's a bit higher (8 points higher out of 100 possible points, to be more specific), but not by much.
That's saying something, BTW, because Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing is an undeniably bad game.

I was only relaying the information in a Gamasutra (I think it was on Gamasutra) where the US manager of indie publishing said he was interested in unique experiences that showed what the Switch was uniquely capable of doing. Of course, the Japanese branch is a whole other entity and who knows what sorts of deals Poisoft had in place. It basically sounded like the early days of the last few handhelds, where Nintendo was interested in showing off the unique gimmicks in their hardware. Of course, once that initial period was over, and everyone realized the gimmicks were annoying, they went right back to publishing the ordinary stuff.
It would be great to have access to an exporter, but I doubt Nintendo is looking to put another platformer/metroidvania/shooter into their early lineup unless it is breaking a lot of design conventions and stands out. Of course there are exceptions (Shovel Knight comes to mind) but I still believe it will be tough to just put any pet indie project on the Switch in the near future. And that is good because I doubt the exporter will be full featured on day one. As with all the exporters, it will take time to work out the kinks.

Fair enough, mobichan. Honestly, if it really must be a Fusion 3 exporter, I wouldn't mind the wait. That being said, though, if there's also a CF2.5 exporter, it'd be a pretty neat thing to have. We'll just have to wait and see, I guess.
-
You should also consider that just having an exporter is a limited idea of the cost associated with being a Switch developer. You would also need to pay for development rights, a development kit (which you generally lease from Nintendo) and the costs with ESRB ratings and any other Nintendo fees associated with their platform. I really hope they make their eshop a simpler affair (like XNA did in the past), but right now, it isn't that at all. Would I love to boot up my game on a Switch? Hell yes. Is it as simple as, say, exporting to Android right now? Not even close.
-
Well, I don't know if this is the case on the Nintendo Switch, but on the Wii U, you could use the services provided by the Please login to see this link. to get your ESRB rating instead of going through the normal, longer, paid process. Also, you don't need to pay for development rights as best as I can tell, just the devkit, based on the info here: Please login to see this link.
So it's actually a bit closer to XNA than you'd probably expect, at least for download-only games.

Working on a game right now I intend to release on the switch! Somehow.....

Would be great to see Clickteam produce a Switch exporter.

"How much does it cost to develop on Nintendo platforms?
Registering for the portal and downloading the tools is completely free, and if you’re releasing a digital title you can use the IARC system for age rating for no fee. All that’s left is the cost of acquiring development hardware which you can find out about inside of the portal."So it's seem that the only cost is to buy the hardware.
-
And what a cost that is...
-
You're leaving me hangin', piscesdreams
What does it cost?

I've heard a lot about cost. You can get dev kits for free for a year or however long development takes, but it can take many months to get it because of a long waiting list.
Price rumors varies between $1000,$3000 and $5000, sometimes $10,000. (Same with Xbox and PlayStation.) -
A Switch Dev Kit is under $500 I heard.. pretty sure that was confirmed weeks ago?
-
Just found this: Please login to see this link.
450 bucks ain't half-bad. Mind you, this is based on what was at the time the planned Japanese price, but that still means that the $450-500 or so range sounds pretty likely.

What does it cost?
In the low thousands, which is just utterly absurd. Same for 3DS too. But a $450 dev kit is much more reasonable for the Switch. But I'd much rather use retail units like Xbox 360/Xbox One.
Microsoft will give you two free dev kits when your project is approved also.
-
That's a fair price for Indie developers.
