Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

Clickteam.

Dear Clickteam and community,

The "Question & Answer" object looks like the best way to open a popup in your iOS application and ask for a confirmation / an answer from the user. A limitation, though, is that the question (and moreover the proposed answers) cannot be determined at runtime: you have to put them during development, and that's all. It's impossible to reply to user actions with confirmation dialogs that recall the context (e.g. "Ok to delete file <name>?")...

=> Did anybody find a workaround to be able to ask contextualized question [and propose contextualized answers] in an iOS popup?
=> Could Clickteam make the "Question & Answer" object customisable at runtime, at least allow to change the question?

Thanks in advance!

Since a few weeks ago, my apps don't play any sound at all. Maybe it's just after a MMF2Dev or iOS Export Module update, maybe not.

I think it can't be a format or encoding issue, since medias play correctly in native players on the target devices.

During a debug session on the iPad 5.1 simulator:

• Xcode (v4.4.1) logs say the long message below, right at the app launch. (The application embeds the iOS Video object and will play a video (including some audio), but later on.)
• When the video plays, visual is ok but no sound is heard, and the following logs appear:
wait_fences: failed to receive reply: 10004003

wait_fences: failed to receive reply: 10004003

wait_fences: failed to receive reply: 10004003

wait_fences: failed to receive reply: 10004003
(repeat)
There are similarities between these logs and the ones in this post: Please login to see this link. but I guess (not sure) it isn't significant...

Can someone find a clue in these logs? If not sufficient, I can post a simple app demonstrating the issue.

Thanks a lot for reading!

There's a small mistake in my last post. One should read: "Currently the player returns to the first image after a playback completes."
The need to set timecode of images shown before and after a movie playback remains valid (at least this would be useful to me :)

I confirm I can't make these conditions work, even after a full project re-generation.

Also, is there a way to change the image where the player returns after a movie playback, independently from the "initial playback time" parameter? Currently the player returns to the "initial playback time" after a playback completes. It would be great also to be able to change the image shown before any playback occurs.

Ideally, we could set:
- Time of the image shown before any playback
- Time of the image shown after a playback completes.
What do you think?

This is great, thanks a lot François!

Now what would be really wonderful would be to listen to player events.
I'm currently unable to use the following conditions in behaviours:
- "Movie is playing" => no effect
- "Movie is stopped" => no effect
- "Movie is pause" => no effect and the condition is replaced by "Movie is stopped" in the event editor.
Is it normal or am I the only one with this issues?

A few lines added to CRunWebView.m manage to simulate a user touch on the WebView's first button once it's loaded => video autoplay works on iOS >:D

I attach the modified source file for your information. The 2 code additions are between comments about "code inserted for VIDEO AUTOPLAY" 1/2 and 2/2.
Please login to see this attachment.

Jjsonick, it would be really nice if you could modify your extension so that this behaviour can be switched on/off at runtime with an object action. Really nice because it would allow us to use some WebView objects for video autoplay, and some other ones for any other purposes. I would try and do it myself if I had the extension development skill.

What do you think?

If I remember well, you have to record your licence number on this site, and then in the special forum "Owners Lounge for iOS Exporter" you'll find the beta version of the iOS Exporter which includes the iOS Video extension.

Dear François / Andros,

In the simple sample app shared here: Please login to see this link. you'll see 2 issues with the iOS Video object:
- Launch the app => the event "stopped" was correctly caught => the picture [stop] displayed is the right one.
- Play the video => the event "playing" was correctly caught => the picture [on air] displayed is the right one.
- Pause the video => the event "paused" wasn't caught because at configuration time it wasn't available in the event editor. Please check in behaviour "Playing indicators" attached to the iOS Video object: the condition "when iOS Video is paused" is absent from the list of proposed conditions for this object.
- At the end of the video playback, the event "stopped" should be caught, and according to the "Playing indicators" behaviour, the picture [stop] should be back... or maybe is it the event "paused"? Then a [pause] picture should be displayed. In our case, nothing changes, i.e. the object state seems to remain "playing"...

Could you confirm the issues about the iOS Video object state? And tell us if we can expect a fix soon?

Thanks in advance.
Best regards,

Sorry to come back to this:
I have trouble using the "Multiple Touch" object in combination with any of the solutions above. It looks like the X and Y coordinates of touches returned by the "Multiple Touch" object don't take into account the resize of display according to window size. This leads to misplaced touches when the iOS emulator / debugger is resized.

François
, may I ask you to confirm the issue?

The only objects I know of that work are list (which is only 320px wide), and the iOS popup (but you can't put a title, only basic body text).

Where can you find the iOS popup object please? I'm looking for a simple way to get user confirmations (short message and "Ok pressed" / "Cancel pressed" events) but I can't find this object.
Indeed I just need an object like the Input object -with no input capability :)
