Well, I can tell you this much: The enemy isn't being destroyed. I'm suspecting that it may be something wrong with the default path movement, because I recall something like this happening to me before.

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.
A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.
Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

Looki's method shouldn't work either, so stick with 11+Random(10).

It doesn't matter. I would use fastloops if I were you, but it matters not and though fastloops can cause pixel perfect detection at a reasonable speed, overreliance on them can too cause slowdown.
-
Well, I have a pretty good example, but it's on a different computer. I would suggest just looking at the examples and reading the help file.

Thanks, that works well. I missed the last part though, so I ended up doing it an entirely different way. XD So does Overlay Redux have to be inside the window to work?

Violence should be acceptable, but games shouldn't be marketed because of their violence. The entire thread in one sentence.

Scratch sucks. My friend (who owns a Mac) was really impressed by it. Then I showed him Clickteam. If there was a Mac version, he wouldn't have joined the side of Uselessness.

Impressive. I would like to work in a team with you. By the Way, do you mind making some music for me? I'm trying to make a rhythym based shoot-em-up. I'll put you in the credits of course.

So I was using the Overlay Redux object to create a nice little level editor, but when you scroll outside the frame area, the display stops working! Please help, 'kay?
Wow it's been a while. How come the max file size is down to 1 MB?
It's build R249!!!

You could add an event that always adds 1 to a value of the trail, and compare if alterable value A =1, paste into background as obstacle. Collision with obstacle, destroy.
-
Well... You could do it manually. Right click an .rtf file, select open with, find your program and check "Make Default Program", then hit OK. You may need to browse for the program.
Also, thanks stephen1980, I had a similar problem at one point and dismissed this as impossible.

I've tried what Nifflas did before and it work great. Store the values you need as one string. Then, parse them on runtime. Don't use this for all values, just for the ones that don't get changed very often.
OR
If you have multiple states, store them in an alterable string. Every time it changes states, write all the values to a different string. Then use the values that are in this state irrelevant for now relevant values. Hope this helps. -
Hey thanks Chaos! That really helps me with another project of mine! I had a different method but this works a lot better!
-
Perhaps your animation moves too fast. That has happened to me before.
-
Thanks that works!
-
No, but you can use active objects which represent the zone and uncheck Follow the Frame.
-
Try the installer. It just assumes that you already know all that stuff.
-
Oh thanks! I knew how to make destructable terrain, but I thought it was limited to single color backgrounds! I never thought of the overlay redux object!
Also, Never use the default Platform Movement! [size:20pt]NEVER![/size]

OR: In Flash, export to AVI, then use AVI or Direct Show.
-
Exactly. Or use Drupal or Joomla and do it easily. Or have Symsoft Solutions do it for you: sysmsoftsolutions.com. I know the owners. they do real high-quality work. But I guess I can't advertise too much. But they helped me set-up my own website. But check their website for FAR more impressive stuff.
AND USE GODADDY!
