Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

Hi thanks for all of your responses, I have a new related question. I noticed that when you create an object by name the frame seems to need at least one instance of the object otherwise nothing is created. I'm in the process of making a level editor and I was planning on using create by name to place objects so that I don't need to create a new event line for every object in the game since there could be hundreds of them. However if I need one of every object in the main frame to load/build levels is that likely to impact performance? any ideas on how I go about handling the situation? would it actually be better to use a line for each object?

    any help would be appreciated
    thanks.

    Hi
I am trying to create a menu that contains several values the player can choose to increase or decrease by clicking on arrows located next to the numbers.
But I am having some trouble figuring out how to make each arrow modify the correct value. In Construct 2 I would simply give my arrows an alterable value that determines which value is modified when the object is clicked and change it in the editor for each instance but as far as I can tell you cannot give instances a unique value from the editor with Fusion 2.5. So what kind of solutions are available?
    Any help would be appreciated
    Thanks.

    Hi
when using create object by name is there any way to pick the Active object I just created and do something with it like set it's animation frame etc?
I currently have a list that contains all the names of the objects I would like to create and I'm using create object by name to add them to my game but I can't think of any way to pick them once they have been created.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks.

    Hi
If I already own MMF2 do I qualify for any kind of discount when I purchase Fusion 2.5?
I submitted an Upgrade request form through the Clickteam's website but Its been over a week and I haven't received any response save for the acknowledgement email suggesting I browse the forums while I wait.
I'm done browsing when can I expect to get some kind of response?

I know from the Daily Click that Pitiri 1977 is being sold on this website and it appears to have a special category for Indie games
I don't know anything beyond that though

I’m not quite sure you understand what I’m trying to achieve so here is my own progress so far it should provide a pretty good idea, my attempt almost works perfectly except that on occasion the player will just fall straight through the stairs & I haven’t figured out why exactly (although it’s probably embarrassingly obvious!)

    Hi
the haunted house stages in Mario Bros often feature staircases which you can walk past while standing on the ground and also hop onto like a jump through platform, I was just wondering if anybody knows a good approach to replicating this kind of thing with the platform movement object?
    any help would be appreciated
    thanks

Holidays are coming up so I plan on putting together the game design document for a vampire hunting game which I've been meaning to make for a long time
and also start practicing animation a bit more in the hope that I will be competent enough to start creating the art by my next lot of holidays.

    My most wanted features are:
Built in collision masks (or something similar)& a platform movement that is both bug free and flexible enough to be used for enemy and player movement.
If these things don't show up in MMF3 then I'll probably end up taking my money to clickteams competitors instead.

As for least wanted features I can't really think of any, but I suppose I can agree about backwards compatability if it would allow MMF3 to be a better product.

    Hi there
Does anyone know of some good resources (tutorials etc) on drawing seamless tilesets? preferably high resolution ones
although I imagine anything on creating complex pixel art tilesets would still be usefull as well.

Any help you can offer would be appreciated
    thanks

    Hi
I'd really like to construct the stages for my game using painted images assembled in a fashion similar to braid or Aqaria rather than the usual tiles & I was just wondering if this is possible in MMF & if it is then how.

here are examples of what I mean

I've also heard Graphics Gale & Cosmigo Pro Motion recommended, however I haven't used them all that much myself & I tend to just use Paint or MMF2's own editor.

Remember that MMF2 also has a quite good bitmap animation editor that even supports alpha-channels and onion skinning

Really? I didn't think MMF2 had onion skinning?

    Hi
I'm trying to make the player & his weapon a seperate object for the platform game that I'm working so that I can easily change the weapons appearance as the player progresses however I'm having some trouble getting the player and weapon animations to sync up, occasionally it skips the first frame.

    here is the file
