Hello. I would like some help making physics similar to this one random video I found for illistration purposes (Not mine!)

I was hoping to find out how to drag and drop and swing a bar using the mouse with the gravity and swinging motion as close to this as possible. I legit have been mulling over the various physics effects for day before I relented to write this. Thanks in advance for helping me out.
The builtin physics objects should be able to achieve this.
I thought so too. im intermediate with the program. If you know how it is supposed to get those exact physics it would be really appritiated. I cant seem to even get close to it having spent literal hours on it.

I've made an example. It has issues with the objects slowly slipping maybe someone else can advise on a way to fix that. but it'll get you started.

It's a pity you can't reset the position of the joint with the same flexibility of an active. Seems the slippage has to do with the gravity. Here's an example that improves the problem; setting the gravity to zero doesn't allow any angular movement, yet having the gravity close to zero seems to be a good compromise.

yeah. grabbing it by the tip of the sword and not the hilt almost gets what I want in it. I just wish you can set the gravity and velocity to be heavier than the hilt. I'm just not seeing true gravity physics here. Is that a fault of the physics engine or is there an object i can download that helps fix it?
Hi Thatdamnlobster. I don't think there is anything you can download to enhance this.

I've had another look at it. If you set Active 2 movement to physics background it works as expected.
