I managed to sort this problem on my PC by copying mmfs2.dll to the Data\Runtime folder where edrt.exe is.

Your right, if you use the "recently opened" list it'll load the app, no matter how many times you open different ones.
edit: Dufski this has fixed it for me also <img src="/center/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />, place the DLL into Data\Runtime folder
