I love this object ^_^ I wait for it too.
But since there are now global strings as well as values, you can do some of its basic things without it. But not by far as neat =P

It sends command to other frames (such as sub-apps). But also other applications. It's a very handy extension to communicate between frames. Maybe not useful for games, but very for applications.

ah nice! Actually, after I posted that I did some research. I'm more the game creator type, but I do like to make map editors for some of my games so an extension like this could definately come in useful.

Yeah, i really need this object to continue my work, i would like to think it will be converted as it is used by many people, and it has many tasks, even in games if u use sub apps! GFO object really is a vital part of MMF, if its not to be converted i would like to see an alternative, or even a MMF2 inbuilt solution!

Yes of course but "Global function object" can send "Fast function" within subapp...
Actually for "Fast function" I use a Fastloop with one loop and it seems to do the same thing but (Global Object) "Fast function" is easiest thanks to its parameters. <img src="/center/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

I hope this object is going to be converted soon. We need parameters! I never understood why CT forgot to implent sush a basic thing as a "function"

yeah, i totaly agree! Global strings arnt the same as GFO, we need it back! Especialy as it can communicate with other apps and even if its not running, it will que up the functions until it is - which is really good! Any news about if Daniel Burkey (the creator) will be updating it?

I am seeing if I can track him down and see if he can update or send the sources to Yves.
I do know he just went to work programming something/involving airline tickets.
Clickteam gave him a reference for some of the programming work he has done for us on the Knowledge base and I am sure he got the job.
Hopefully the email addresses I have for him are still good.
