Yves, I already have installed the original version of this extension pack. Now that I've downloaded the updated version, can I just install this over the version that's already installed or do I have to removed MMF Dev 2 (taking the original installation with it) and reinstall everything again?

Just install the new BP without uninstalling anything, that will work.

question on XML :
why is it a developper extention ? as there is no database , it would benefit to everyone to have xml.
also , it this one compatible with vitalize ?

Yes, it's compatible with Vitalize! (but as usual the functions that save files are disabled and it can only load files from the Internet)
