MMF2 + lens object=Horrible slowdown :(
Well Im sorry this is the next post about MMF2 speed but this was really great disappontment for me.
Blank frame, one default green active object and Lens object (a bit greater than default, about 140%)above it. The only action-Always, Lens angle+1.
The result is about 20 FPS in the Standard more, other modes with Direct X are even slower.

Re: MMF2 + lens object=Horrible slowdown :(
Have you tried the same application in MMF 1.5? If so, is it faster?
For info, like all the objects in this pack, the Lens object has been quickly converted to make it work in MMF2, that's all. It's the same as in MMF 1.5. It could be probably optimized using the new features of MMF2, hopefully Andos will have time to take a look in the future.
If the application is slower in MMF2, let me know and send me the 1.5 application, so that we can fix any issue.
Yves.

Re: MMF2 + lens object=Horrible slowdown :(
Unfortunately,
in MMF 1.5 it is really faster-about 36 FPS.
in MMF2 it is about 24 FPS.
I tried the same application in both MMF versions. Should I send it to file archive or to your mail? But maybe its faster to do it yourself, just create Lens object (140x140) with refraction, one active and set always-Lens angle+1

Send me your MMF 1.5 application by e-mail please, that will save some time <img src="/center/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
