I think it's better to just redo things in MMF2 rather then copy things from MMF1 to MMF2 anyways...
After a reboot, things seem to be happier...

Also, if I'm not mistaken, the patch includes the full version EXE file, if the patch had worked on the demo, chances are the demo would have been turned into the full version. No? Well perhaps not completely, I'm sure the full version uses slightly different runtime files that the patch doesn't update, hense it doesn't replace them with runtime files that work on the full version EXE. In other words "Error!" :-P

no, they would need the files that dont have "DEMO" all over it, if you patch the wrong files, it will currupt it
