Multimedia Fusion 2 Extension Manager v2.0
I recoded the Multimedia Fusion 2 Extension Manager and i hope you all will enjoy this brand new version...
(Release: late today or 19th of july '06)
It is much better than before, and has all the features Jeff requested.
[]Jeff: Nice little App <img src="/center/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
Does it/will it also do movements and transitions after those SDKs come out?
Maybe for extensions/movements not on the download system it could have a list of external links where the person can go get them?
Some screen to compare all the extensions a person has installed with all the extensions registered with the download program might be handy later when extensions start pouring out.
There seems to be something weird with the pipe extension as it gets a data type mismatch when it tries to install?
Also does a person need to install the extension twice? Once for edit time and once for runtime? If so a one button choice might be handy <img src="/center/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
Thinking about it -- What I need is a feature to list extensions on the server that I have not yet installed for MMF2. Then quickly I can see if anything is new.
Hmmm I wonder if you can get the version number somehow from the installed extension so you can even know if a new version is out? That might be asking a bit much but you never know. I suppose the app could write an INI when it installs extensions for you tracking the current version number it installed for easy comparison.[/]
In v2.1 and up FULL offline extension management is supported.
The installer also makes .mfx compatible with the Extension Manager, and instead of the .mexp format it now uses the .mfxp format.
Why don't you check it out? http://www.maxxgames.com/extensions/

Re: Multimedia Fusion 2 Extension Manager v2.0
Screenshots are looking good. Very stylish... but quite empty :P
I hope that the developers are going to fill the MMF2EM extension list as soon as the utility is out.

Re: Multimedia Fusion 2 Extension Manager v2.0
Very nice work <img src="/center/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
I am sure once Yves releases the SDK we will see a lot more extensions.
Its kind of hard for people to make extensions without the SDK.
All we have right now is people who are testing the SDK <img src="/center/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

Re: Multimedia Fusion 2 Extension Manager v2.0
Am I the only person that realizes that Maxx_Games = Patrick?
You really don't have to keep complimenting yourself.
I like the sound of this new version though. Now your application almost has all the features that mine does.

Re: Multimedia Fusion 2 Extension Manager v2.0
Hi Code6, not really :P
Maxx Games is more then just me haha, why did you say? Better check next time <img src="/center/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
But i am associated with Maxx Games... yes.
I help with GUI/Interfaces (and website stuff) and i do client-server-model coding for Maxx Games.
The reason a Maxx Games account is used, is because it covers ALL that are involved, and not just me.

Re: Multimedia Fusion 2 Extension Manager v2.0
I realized that there were multiple members of 'MaxxGames'. I just heard from another one of your staff members that one of the lead coders of MaxxGames, whose name is Patrick (I was told), was the one behind this particular project. I therefor assumed that the 'Patrick' username here belonged to the lead developer of this particular project, whose real name I was told to be “Patrick”. My apologies if this assumption was incorrect.
