Anyone else having clipping problems? (sounds)
I'm playing around with a puzzle game that has up to ten simultaneous explosion sounds playing. I turned on multi-samples but after the first few explosions all subsequent explosions just sound like clicks and pops -- as though only the first part of the sound was playing.
I'm using standard .wavs and I've tried a variety of configurations, rates, etc. I've also turned on/off interruptable sounds and compression. I can't seem to fix the problem.
I'm not sure if this is an MMF2 issue, but I haven't had any problems like this with MMF1. (Could it be related to DirectX?)
NOTE: Other than this and a few other problems I'm VERY excited about Fusion 2. I keep finding new things to like!

Re: Anyone else having clipping problems? (sounds
I get this sometimes too.
Try adding a 'Special/Limit conditions/only one action when event loops' to the event and see if that help.

Re: Anyone else having clipping problems? (sounds
I tried that and it doesn't seem to have any effect...
I'll try updating the sound drivers for my laptop. If anyone else has suggestions please let me know.

I am sure Yves would love to see the problem file if you can email it to him.
You can find his email address in his profile.

Yes, I'd love that. <img src="/center/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> An example file is often better than a long explanation.
Yves.
