Im asking about this,because I feel my current resolution,1024x768,is a bit too small to work with.
And now I drooling on a new LCD monitor,20" Samsung,with 1600x1200 resolution.And wondering if anyone using that resolution now,and what they think of that?
Or I will go for a 19" LCD monitor,with 1280x1024 resolution.

I really love 1280 x1024 on my 19 inch CRT.
Any bigger on this 19 inch and it gets a bit tough for me to read easily with my old eyes, but the more room I can squeak out the better <img src="/center/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> If I had a 20 inch I would crank it up a setting or 2.
I am sure 1600x1200 would be awesome if your comfortable with it.

1024x768. I'm thinking that's pretty much the lower end of what you want these days when you're designing anything but for me it's quite workable. Mind you, these larger LCD's are coming down in price alot lately.
If I could, I'd love to go to 1280.

i use 1600x1200, any smaller and my desktop appears cluttered. in fact most programs feel cluttered at any lower resolutions...

I really like to work with 1650x1050 (16:10 monitor). This way I have a free working space of app. 4:3 so that the toolbars are not in my way.
I was really lucky to get this one. Half a year ago Dell sold several monitors for less than 2/3 of the original price.

I use 1024x768 on my old 17 inch monitor. Anything higher and the refresh rate goes down and the flickering drives me crazy.
My parents own a beautiful 19" flatscreen that supports high resolution but I had to trick them to move from 800x600 to 1024x768. (Old eyes.)
Don’t forget that a big screen size displays everything smaller.

I'd say the bare minimum to use MMF2 comfortably is 1280x1024, but I kind of like 1800x1440 better :P

1280x1024. It's a comfortable resolution for me. It's also my 19-inch LCD monitor's native resolution. Hey, I like my LCD monitor!

I'm thinking of getting a 21" LCD Tablet though. Tablet + 1600x1200 + MMF2 = definitely godlike. <img src="/center/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
