Re: Adventure Object
Hey!
Don't bother. Haven't you niticed that Brandon is doing this all the time? Someone posts a question or suggestion - there is Brandon putting him down. Even if he is trying to help the person after that. His first sentance is usually used to intimidate.
And even though I am neither admin nor moderator I would like everybody to snap out of it! This attitude is helping no one.

Re: Adventure Object
I have no clue what you're talking about, I help when help is needed, but I voice my opinion when I feel it's needed as well. Look at ALL of my posts, not just the ones you want to point out, alright?
I've been apart of the click community since 2001, so it's not like I've been here for a few days.
If you feel so confident about your opinion on me, you shouldn't have a problem telling the ENTIRE truth, not selectively giving out small "facts".
In addition, little do you know, but my posts that "put people down" are far from that. My posts give what I like to call, constructive criticism. Not sure if you've ever heard of it, but it's pretty [#$%!$] useful from time to time. My “Attitude” helps a [#$%!$] load of people, but I don’t care to change my attitude for people to stubborn to swallow their own pride.
@Bruto_Memo: Sorry if it sounds like the entire time I’m attacking you personally, I’m not attacking any one person here. I am attacking the IDEA of an adventure object. So please stop taking my posts personally, they are NOT attacks to you!

Re: Adventure Object
Quite a pointless post when it comes down to it, because the bottom line is -
Yes you can create an adventure engine pretty much no problem in MMF, but yes it also takes a huge amount of work.
On the other side of things, not everyone uses MMF for serious projects, some people just like to enjoy what they create or play about with certain parts of games. IE. an extension that implemented a engine for them would allow the user to put all the features in they have always wanted to see or play in an adventure game, without all the hassle and extra time.
End of the day, if this extension existed a lot of people would use it, and probably would use it for many different reasons, not just adventure stuff. Take the platform movement object for example, there are many things you can do with this extension that don't really involve "platform movement" to the reasons it was originally created.
Also, if this extension existed, and you wanted to create your own engine, theres still nothing stopping you :P
So I fail to see where the argument lies, apart from the question that was actually asked "Is the extension been made?"
Just my two cents.

Re: Adventure Object
Pfft. In favor, against, in favor, against. And what's funnier is that the extension developers are totally ignoring this post.

Re: Adventure Object
Brandon, you said I'm lazy in at least 3 post.. this seems personal to me.. but I understand your point of view.. I just can't agree with any 'purist' point of view simply because it's too extreme: Too many extensions is bad.. no extension is no good either
I agree 100% with spike
