I'm using several small actives as dummys to tell wether the character is in water or not, so here comes the question....A larger active or several small ones? Which would be faster.
Thanks in advance.

A larger one would be quicker but mabye less accurate
Hmmm...really? I read elsewhere differently that the smaller they are, the quicker MMF loads them. You may be right though...any other opinions?
Is the water level uniform across your entire level? If so, you can check for the player being above/below a certain Y co-ordinate and get away with no actives for checking at all.
I still had to use actives for the water surface animation in the only game I've used water, though, and having 64x32 tiles of it didn't seem to harm the game at all.
Hmmm...Interesting suggestion. I will look into that as well :-)
