Need help with Active System Box
Okay, after looking through the File Archive, i found some examples that look to the Background System Box for RTS selection boxes. I, too, found this efficient, although i need Active System Box to make it go in front of Actives. And there's the bug. It behaves weird. If you look at that, You can see that the box pastes itself when moved Up-Left. Down-Right works, though. The code sets original X and Y positions and resizes to MouseX and MouseY. It should work fine, it does with Background System Box.
If you can help, then please do.

Re: Need help with Active System Box
The only time I have seen a system box behave like that is when you give it a negative dimension
Re: Need help with Active System Box
Yes, that is what is done when dragging it top-left. One way to go around this is to split the dragging of the box into more events, separating between positive and negative values.
Re: Need help with Active System Box
I'm sure I have got a system box work in negative dimensions before though - ...wait, what colour is the border of the box?
Re: Need help with Active System Box
Green. It's in the image.
Re: Need help with Active System Box
I think it doesn't blur like that if you use a system colour
Re: Need help with Active System Box
I'm not quite sure what you're on about...
Re: Need help with Active System Box
If you use system colours e.g. "3D Light'' , ''Shadow'' e.t.c instead of ''custom'' then when you enter a negative dimension it draws the box properly

Oh. Thanks <img src="/center/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
EDIT: Just one problem... It still doesn't work...
Re: Need help with Active System Box
mmm... works on mine - sometimes - mabye a certain object mucks it up (like the Tray Object stops windows objects from working)
Re: Need help with Active System Box
I still need help with this. Seriously.
Re: Need help with Active System Box
I made an example over here.

Re: Need help with Active System Box
Why? If anyone else has anything to add about ASBs used in this way I'd be interested to hear it.
