Screensaver help
Just a reminder - I am a COMPLETE novice...
After about 3 mths exposure to MMF2D and to this VERY helpful forum, I'm beginning to grasp some basic concepts and am putting together some basic arcade-type games.
I'd like to try creating some screensavers. I know that the "window shape" feature is used but beyond that I really haven't a clue how to proceed.I've looked for tutorials on screensvares but haven't found any.
If one of you "really smart brains" out there has some free time, could you reply to this post with some basic insructions, if possible?
Big thnx for any basic help on this!!!

Re: Screensaver help
Thanx, but I just get this message: "Sorry, some required files are missing, if you intended to view a topic, it's possible that it's been moved or deleted. Please go back and try again."
It's probably just what I need but it doesn't seem to exist any longer....

Re: Screensaver help
Try www.castlesoftware.co.uk/screensaver.zip
For my screensaver article, just uploaded it again, just in case there is a problem with the KB.
Thanks

Re: Screensaver help
OK! I'm backkkkkkk! lol
The above info was VERY uselful. I created a basic screensaver. I did a build, and it has the .scr ext. I even found where they go (Windows/system32). But when I try to bring it up on "display" it is not there. How do I get it there....or how do I make it function as a regular screensaver???
Again, your help is MOST appreciated!

Re: Screensaver help
How do you build your screen saver? To build it, you have to select "Screen saver" in the Build Type property of your application and then click Build in the File menu (or in the popup menu).
Yves.

Re: Screensaver help
Actually, only the windows built-in screen-savers should go in \windows\system32\, others should go in just \windows\. If it still doesn't show up, right-click on it and choose "install".
