Will MMF2 run on windows vista?
I seem to recall using MMF2 fine when i installed the Vista Beta.
MMF2 works well on Vista.
MMF2 applications works too on Vista.
Some MMF extensions can be incompatible with Vista.
I would think it very poor of MS to not allow backward compatibility on Vista, think of all the other software designed to run on XP and fails miserably on Vista :) Come on, lets think about this logically.
Thinking about it logically, they didn't do an absolutely fantastic job of it with XP.
still better than the backward compatibility in the mac os. in the software I use, anyway, you need to wait for an update (or upgrade) between OS updates.
I've done tests for MMF2 on Vista, and Multimedia Fusion 1.5 does NOT run on Vista, as far as I know, using RC2, and Multimedia Fusion 2 DOES work, and in fact... works better. So don't worry about MMF2 working on Vista, like MMF1.5 did on XP. Runs fine. ^-^'
Is there a way to tell which extensions will work or will not work with Vista?Quote:

Its depends on Vista.
Its not really something that old applications can control if Vista says no you can't do that.
Its not just MMF2 applications -- its any application they all have to play under the Vista rules or they won't work.
There is really not a lot that can be done if Vista breaks the way windows operated in the past.
You may have performance issues with any extensions that rely on OpenGL (because Microsoft is intentionally making OpenGL support in Vista horrible to push DirectX to developers), but aside from that I doubt you'd have any problem with MMF2 stuff on Vista.
