MMF2 & Vista
Just wanted to say:
I have used MMF2 with Windows Vista few days and it works perfectly. There is only a one problem. Because MMF2 "is not combatible with Windows Aero", Windows changes theme from aero to basic always when I start MMF2 and changes it back to aero when I close MMF2.
Same problem happens also with Paint Shop Pro X :P

Re: MMF2 & Vista
Actually there is one serious problem. Event list editor usually shuts the MMF2 down :(

Re: MMF2 & Vista
Hmmm, we will have to monitor this.
Durning the Vista beta we had a few people running MMF2 and did not encounter any serious problems. I am sure its being looked into ASAP now that Vista is released in a final form.

Re: MMF2 & Vista
Ive got vista, and no problems accessing the event list editor, so there must be something more specific, can you upload code that crashes it?
Thanks

Re: MMF2 & Vista
My game under Vista cause an error everytime I close the game. It is only this particular game that causes the error, my other games work properly. All my games run properly under Windows XP. I have the Home Premium Edition.

Re: MMF2 & Vista
can you upload the source?

Re: MMF2 & Vista
who do I upload the source to?

Re: MMF2 & Vista
Either the file upload section or to your website (if you have one) and we can download it from there
Thanks

Re: MMF2 & Vista
I did find the problem under Vista. All my programs that use simple scrolling crash when I close the game. If I do not have scrolling then they work properly.
I am using the sample in the book Appendix 4. Create a Scrolling game.
It works under XP, but not Vista when you close the game. I usually click on the "X"
to close my games.
I have Vista Home Premium using a 7800 GS 1024x768

Re: MMF2 & Vista
Just out of curiosity, does the crash also happen when closing the game using Alt+F4?
Same question when closing the game using the MMF action Storyboad Controls : End the application.

Re: MMF2 & Vista
ALT-F4 also crashes, File/Quit and using: End the Application also crashes.
