Problem with Importing Sprites
Build R242
I have a problem with importing sprites into Fusion 2 (I just click the little 'open' folder button when editing images, right?) whenever I make an animated image in Flash MX, and then publish it into an animated Gif, and import it into Fusion 2, it always turns out messed up and low quality. How do I fix this?
Re: Problem with Importing Sprites
Well first you could try the links on the right for build 243. Generally there's no support for people who aren't using the newest build, in case the problem was already fixed.
Re: Problem with Importing Sprites
Can you upload, link or email a copy of a sample GIF?
Re: Problem with Importing Sprites
Ok, I got build R243. It still isn't fixed.
Here's a link to the gif. http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a106/BKFITWW/HHKgamesintro.gif
It's supposed to be an intro for a game. HHK are the guys making it. Which includes me.
So.... any help for this?
Re: Problem with Importing Sprites
Thanks for the file, I think we use an old GIF library in MMF2, that doesn't support some GIF features (at least some GIF files created with Flash MX and Fireworks...). We'll try to fix it in the build 254.
Re: Problem with Importing Sprites
Build 254 thats what I call looking ahead. :D

Re: Problem with Importing Sprites
Haha, yes, 245, sorry. :)
Re: Problem with Importing Sprites
Ok, thanks for the help. even if it wasn't very helpful. At all....
I'll guess I'll just wait for the new build then.
Re: Problem with Importing Sprites
Can you export the graphics from Flash MX into a series of Bitmaps or maybe an AVI? That might be an option.
Re: Problem with Importing Sprites
You could try using a Frame Capture program like HyperCam Pro and save it to an AVI if you can't export directly.
Re: Problem with Importing Sprites
Ok, I got the update for F2 (So now I have build R244) and it's STILL not fixed. What should I do?
Re: Problem with Importing Sprites
ummm... I don't know what frame capture means. And I COULD import them into seperated bitmaps, but that's beside the point. This is a thing that Fusion 2 SHOULD be able to do.
Re: Problem with Importing Sprites
That intro is SOOOOOO easy to make in MMF2 without any GIF animation, just import the text as an object and select a Fade In and Fade Out animation OR you could import the text and play with the transparency setting for the object.
Not only will that work just as good but it will also be a lot smoother.
Re: Problem with Importing Sprites
Ok, I'll try importing the words and the black backgroundas 2 seperate objects and putting a transparency effect on the words. But still, does anyone know WHY it dosn't work?
