Trial Object - Reset not working properly?
Here's the problem:
I click the Reset button in the Trial Object's properties box. Then I run the App. Everything's fine so far. I have a counter telling me how many days since the Apps first use. It says "0". I stop/close the App. I run it again. The counter now says "-1" and continues with the actions as if the Trial Period (30 days) has expired.
Here's what I did before I got this problem:
I ran my App. Then closed it. Then set my system date to 31 days in the future. Then ran the App. All the "Expired Trial Period" actions executed (as they were supposed to).
I closed the App. Reset my system date. That's when the fore-mentioned problem started happening.
Is this a Bug, or just a limit in my understanding of the Reset button?
thanks.

Understanding most people would ask me to post an example, here it is.
Trial Object BUG
Re: Trial Object - Reset not working properly?
I believe that once you've executed the 30 days, the only way you can reset is to change the trial ID. The reset stops the program from starting to count days, but once they are counted, I don't think you can change that from withing MMF.

Re: Trial Object - Reset not working properly?
that did solve the issue (changing the ID).
thanks, steve.
Re: Trial Object - Reset not working properly?
There is no problem at all on my machine with this application and I don't understand what you say Steve. You do not need to change the ID : clicking the Reset button will reset the info for the current ID.
adimm, could you re-explain your problem?
PS: the "Is trial period" condition will be always true from the moment the expiration date is reached, even if you set your system date to a date in a valid period. But the Reset button will still allow you to reset the info and start again as if the application had never been run.
Re: Trial Object - Reset not working properly?
Reset is working for me now, Yves. Must've been some weird glitch... or an ID10T error. thanks.
