1. Use the "compare two general values" event under the Special object.
2. In the top portion, use "Retrieve data from another object" to get the text of the edit box or its numeric value.
3. In the bottom portion, state the string (word in quotation marks, text of other edit object, etc) or number (actual number, value of counter, etc) to which the edit box should be compared.
Okay so can you give me a step by step process please? I kind of understood what your saying but not completely... Lol
Tell exactly what you want to do and I'll tell you exactly how to do it (but maybe tomorrow, since its late).
1. Go to the event editor and add a new condition
2. Right click on Special and select Compare two general values
3. Select the top input box, click Retrieve data from an object, right click on the edit box and choose the option Get Text. The top input box should now read Edittext$( "Edit" )
4. Change the contents of the bottom input box to "Password" (or "B4678783" or whatever), and ensure the dropdown menu between the two input boxes has Equals selected

okay thanks! But...uh how come it only accepts numbers in the bottom box? O_O
Oh and also, if I type in just numbers on the bottom, and press OK, then it says both hae to be alphanumeric or something...I only have the trial, and dont know if I need a full version or not, but I'm thinking of getting it lol
Numbers and Text should be inside Quotation marks like "help"
