I'm not quite sure what you mean. But, there is an event in MMF2 called "Files have been dropped". This detects when a file has been dropped into a Multimedia Fusion application. This might be useful for what you are trying to do.
It's not the question Brandon, Wilk speak about a feature in the object Tree Control.
He clearly wants to drag folders and items around to re-arrange them in the tree object. This can't be done as far as I am aware?
Could anyone from clickteam team add option to drag folders or files to tree control ?
Unfortunately it's not easy and quick to do. I'm afraid we won't do it, at least not in the near future.
will you add this thing since year? unfortunally i'm going to army for 1 year, nextly I will buy mmf2 dev, and then I will need this function
I have an question to Yves, will you do this function in mmf3
I may have misunderstood your question. What do you want to do?
- drag & drop items inside a unique tree control to re-order the items in the tree control
- or allow drag & drop of items between 2 different tree controls inside the same application
- or allow drag & drop of files from a Windows explorer to the MMF2 tree control and reciprocally?
- and if items are files, move and/or copy files after they have been dropped?
Lots of cases, some of them are complicated to do. Let me know what you need exactly.
I mean first option
OK. That depends if the tree control items are files. In this case I guess we would also have to move the files physically on the disc? (last option)
Sorry for off topic, but is it possible to refresh all id's and make so the id's are sorted as they appear in the list?
I'm sorry, I mean first option XDQuote:

We'll certainly add drag & drop features to the tree control in the future. I don't know yet how this will be implemented.
It is possible to simulate this with the existing objects and functions. However, you would need to program them the same way I had to program the drag and drop features of the active picture object.
This is one of my "BIG" concerns when at the convention it was said that the extensions would not be given priority or updated by Clickteam. It is the extensions, and not the game engine in my mind that gives MMF its real power.
A fast game engine is fine and desireable but without the extensions MMF would be weak to try and develop in.
I think we didn't say exactly we wouldn't update the current extensions, we said we would not make new extensions ourselves but would try to hire developers for that so that we can focus on the main engine.
Francois Q and A session video seemed to say that. One user ask about updating the Tree control and it was stated it would not be updated except in MMF3. Also earlier Francois stated no further bonus packs but extensions would be under continuous release from other 3rd party developers but not Clickteam so to focus on Java and engine upgrade. Since clickteam "supported" extensions like Moosock, File Object, Tree control are updated by Clickteam I took the statement to mean priorities are shifting away from the extensions.
Franscois gave the example of an extension/application that took some time to develop for teachers. Nice for teachers but I would have perferred seeing time spend on improving the extensions for current developers.
I understand the need to the improve/patch the engine but the extensions is what gives the MMF its power.
Sorry if I misunderstood.
droberson, all Clickteam extensions will be updated if necessary and if the wanted features could be added before MMF3. That's what Yves and Francois wanted to say.
There will be no more Bonus Pack but a lot of extensions will be released as "bonus" extensions but they will not be called with the same name (they will maybe named "Platinum extensions") and will be released independently through FusionUpdater.
So, yo can be sure that a lot of quality extensions will be released pretty soon. ;)
Also -- now we have Chris Branch on staff to work on adding new features to extensions in conjunction with many indie and contract programmers who are creating new extensions as we speak.
Yves and Francois are focused on the core and the runtime (as they need to be) -- Other people (Clickteam employees and contracted programmers) will be working on the extensions.
Sounds good. I look forward to seeing new and improved MMF and extensions this will lead to.
Maybe we will start a thread where users can pick their top-ten CT, included extension updates/features.
There are quite a few included extensions, so any work done on them should be focused on the needs of the many.
