Hey I recently purchased the game factory 2 from tigerdirect.com But when installing it asks me for a registration number?? do you know where i can find it on the software??? plz help thanks
Here's a few places it could be:
1/. On the back of the box (mine was)
2/. On the inside cover of the back page of the instructions.
how many digits was yours. When it asks for mine it's like 30 numbers. Also the instructions is just a pamplet from "software togo" they said to register the software you email them info about your product with tiger direct i'm gonna try that. Also i got 2 discs from TD did that happen to you???
I bought MMF2 and it was a combination of about 20 numbers and letter. I bought mine directly from Clickteam and it came with an 80 page instruction booklet and two disks.
Oh and I also recommend Jason Darby's "Make Amazing Game In Minutes" for TG2.
For Software purchased from Tiger Direct the serial number is on the bottom of the quick start insert inside the DVD case.
does it say "Software to Go Certificate of Authenticity" then a number
Edit: I just really want to use this software does anybody have a pic on where it would be i emailed the guy at software2go and he hasn't emailed me back
The serial should be in the format ######-########-###### (with # being a number or a letter).
i found a big number on the CD: #-number L-Letter
{##LL#L#L-####-#]#L-##L#-##LLL#LL#oL#}
is that it i'm so confused
and i'm getting real angry, at tigerdirect
also to my previous post when i typed that number in it wouldn't fit in right, and when the code is typed in completely correctly will the next button finally be pressable cause it won't work i can't find the right number
If the code is typed in correctly then the "Next" button should be clickable (so long as you enter your name also). You do not enter the dashes, you use the dashes as a reference to separate between the three input fields. The code you showed does not seem to be a valid MMF2 serial, as it doesn't meet the 6-8-6 scheme (unless I'm wrong on this).
Have you tried looking on the bottom of the quick start insert inside the DVD case? If that doesn't help then you may want to give http://www.clickteam.com/eng/contact.php a try. Alternatively, you could just wait for TigerDirect to respond.
yep they gave me an invalid one. that really ticks me off i'm going to email clickteam, i guess they will just send me one. I'm not buying from tigerdirect again. I tried to buy from the click team but there was a problem but there was a while ago. Anway thanks joshtek
As it seems I have replied to you about 5 times via various emails you have sent.
You need to contact Softwaretogo at the email address I sent you.
Clickteam will not know what serial number Softwaretogo issued you until the end of May.
If you want me to try to help you could email me your invalid serial number -- scan of the quick start pamphlet would be even better. Have you found the Softwaretogo quick start guide or some other insert inside the DVD case?
Other then that Clickteam can't help and you need to contact softwaretogo first.
yeh just because somewhere offers it cheaper than the company that makes it does not make it better, usually they just buy in huge bulk and undercut the company to get more people to get it from them and they make the money back by selling your details, etc.
Apart from that, CT is a small company and so everyone should buy from them so they get all the profits, instead of only parts of it
well thanks to ErikH I know got that registration code that was missing. Thanks to everyone for helping. Everything is working, but I just have one question I downloaded the first CD but how do I put the second one's media on my computer, do I just copy it into my game factory 2 folder
The second CD has sound effects and example files.
You can copy them if you want or just put in the CD when you need something.
Most people leave the stuff on the CD but you can certainly copy it to the hard drive if you want it easier to get to.
Oh ok. yeah, I did look through it and only see some example games, MIDI, etc. I'm just gonna put the cd in when I need to use it. Thanks Jeff :)
