Use a typewriter font :)
You mean where each letter appears one after the other, as if being written on a typewriter?
If so, I'll make you a little example.
I've made one some years later in MMF1.5 but this example works with MMF2 :

Three relevant posts I found using the search facility:
These links are no longer valid :( I get this message "Hello, Sadly you have reached this page that no longer exists. Please visit our main website at www.clickteam.com"
I know Marvin has some examples on his site like your asking about that might help get you statred?
Here's one (bottom of page) http://www.castles-of-britain.com/mmf2examplespage8.htm
This question is from 2007. But since I don't like to post without providing useful information, I'll make an example for this in 2007 too http://community.clickteam.com/showthread.php?t=42842
Yea, my game uses a type writer text me and some guy worked on together. I made it before the new CT forum was designed.
If the link is no longer valid, I can re-upload all the text typewriter examples I did.
They use the Text Blitter object but it's probably the one you're looking for. ;)
http://community.clickteam.com/showthread.php?t=66627 - This was from the post.
All the examples in this thread either are dead links or are over complicated.
If you are still having trouble gamefreak202 then try this one I made for ya:

So, I'm wanting to do something like a Karaoke or Same Language Subtitling for a story book reader for children. So, initially, on the bottom of the screen, a rectangle with a black background is there, and then a green colored phrase is there, and then as the narrator begins to speak, the text turns white, letter by letter, very smoothly. I.e. I'd like it to be like there were a rectangular reveal that smoothly moves across the text. E.g. at any one time, a letter itself may actually be partially green and partially white as the white is revealed. I tried to use an active object with ink effects xor, and others to turn the green white, as the active object moves across it, synchronized to the audio, but I couldn't get it to work. The following attachment shows an example of a letter half painted.

I'm trying to evaluate the Click Team products to decide if it will be sufficient to do the project I'm doing, and this is a big part of it.
Eventually the solution would be for ipads and androids.
StephenL has released an extension that does this for flash, but it isn't compatible with the EXE runtime. But again, this thread is from 2007, any further conversation should be made in a new thread.
As suggested, I added it to another thread. Thanks.
